Summer Sharks
Rising Pre-K 4 - 5th $300
Ready for the best summer ever? Come join JCDS in celebrating 55 years of summer camp with Summer Sharks! Spend your summer with us swimming, in our beautiful gym, and competing in special events. Campers will travel on a weekly off-campus field trip, earn the 2026 bottle badges, visit the art room and enjoy game time with friends in their cabin.
New for 2026 we are introducing the Invention Lab! This will be a space for campers to explore creativity, test out their skills and challenge their minds and friends to a weekly special project.
Daily lunch and a snack are included for all campers. Get ready to spend your summer the right way with JCDS!
Field Trip:
Campers will be headed to Bowlero Mandarin for some bowling action!
Around the World Art
Rising Pre-K 4 - 2nd $400

Grab your paintbrush and travel bag and let's hit the road! Campers will be immersed in art and culture from around the world as we paint, sculpt, draw and more througout the week. Campers will get to experience and try techniques from a variety of cultures as we explore different mediums and fun international topics. This art adventure will be led be former JCDS teacher, Abbey Waldman.
Once Upon a Storybook
Rising Pre-K 4 - 2nd $350

Dive into a world where books come to life and imagination knows no limits! Campers will craft, create, and act out their favorite stories, exploring a new enchanted world each day. From sparkling mermaid lagoons and glittering unicorn meadows to royal princess castles and playful animal kingdoms, every day is filled with fun crafts, imaginative games, dramatic storytelling, and take home creations. Let your child’s love of books and imagination soar as they become a princess, a daring adventurer, a magical creature, or a hero in their very own storybook world! This magical adventure will be led by JCDS Kindergarten Teacher, Amanda Yarberry.

Bridge to Kindergarten

Let's get ready for Kindergarten! In this fun preparatory camp, we'll practice school routines, try fun activities, learn to work as a group and brush on on reading skills. This camp is a great way to help ease back into the daily structures and routines of Kindergarten. This camp will be led by JCDS Pre K 4 Lead Teacher, Karen Connelly.

Cooking with Characters
Rising K - 2nd $400

Want to bake with Bluey? Or think you can cook with Paw Patrol or a Jedi Knight? Then come join us for this fun, character filled cooking journey. Campers will cook, bake, ready stories all alongside characters from their favorite shows and books. No cooking experience is needed, just come ready to explore the culinary world alongside familiar friends. This program will be led by JCDS 1st-grade Associate, Bradley Turk.

Gymnastics
Rising K - 2nd $350

Ready to train like Simon Biles? Then it's time to do some gymnastics! JCDS is excited to partner with Flip, Groove, Play Gymnastics to offer this fun and engaging program for our campers. This camp will work on basic gymnastic techniques, games, and activities and help campers with body control including fine and gross motor skills. Come hit the mat, bars, and beam with us! This program will be led by the Flip, Groove, & Play staff.

Swim Up to 2nd Grade
Rising 2nd $350

Dive into summer and get ready to swim up to Second grade! Transitioning grades can be tough for all kids, but you can come. make it as smooth as possible for your camper with this fun, preperatory camp. This camp is a great opportunity to brush off those summer cobwebs and give your child an overview of math and literacy through a multi-sensory approach. We'll have have time for reading, and research based math skills thoughout the week, as well as some fun refreshers on all topics. Please note that this camp is designed to match the curriculum pacing of JCDS 2nd grade students, so it may not match other schools' curriculum exactly. JCDS 2nd-grade Teacher Kristin Szallay will lead this program.
