Summer Sharks


Rising Pre-K 4 - 6th $250

Make the most of your summer at JCDS Summer Camp! Our Summer Sharks camp is our recreational program. Campers will enjoy all the summer greats: daily swimming, games, gym time, field trips, special activities, and more! Everyone will have access to our on campus game room, arts & crafts area, and all that our incredible 18-acre campus has to offer. Daily lunch and a healthy snack is included for all campers. Campers will be divided into groups (cabins) by age. If you want to make the most of your summer, this program is for you!

Sports Academy

Rising Pre-K 4 - K $325

Want to get a jump start on fall sports? Come join our multi-sport summer academy! Campers will get to explore basic concepts of team sports including basketball, soccer, and t-ball. We’ll practice throwing, catching, hitting, shooting, dribbling, and more in this fun exploratory program. This program will be led by First Athletes Sports Training (FAST) instructor Matt Straight.

Little Picassos

Rising Pre-K 4 - 1st $350

Come and explore the world of artistic master Pablo Picasso! Campers will get to make a variety or projects inspired by Pablo's works including self-portraits, animals and projects over several mediums. This program will be led by former JCDS Art Specialist, Abbey Matthews.

Bridge to Kindergarten


Rising K $325

Kindergarten is a wonderful time for all kids and we want to help make sure your child is ready to begin his or her journey! Campers will practice reading skills, try fun activities, and learn to work as a group throughout the week. This is a great way to expose little learners to the daily structures and routines of Kindergarten. This camp will be led by JCDS Pre K 4 Lead Teacher, Karen Connelly.

Contemporary & Improv Dance

Rising 1st - 6th $325
presented by Ashley Nelson

Contemporary dance camp will be a blend of combining elements of ballet, lyrical, and modern dance styles. The week will consist of fun improvisational dance challenges, choreography exploration, and dance technique development. At the end of the week we will put those skills together in a short video for family and friends. This program will be led by JCDS Dance Instructor, Ashley Nelson

Step Up to 2nd Grade


Rising 2nd $325
presented by Kristin Szallay

Ready for second grade? This program is a great way to walk into your new class next Fall with confidence. The camp will be action-packed with fun and interactive reading and math curriculum. This is a great opportunity to brush off those summer cobwebs and give your child an overview of math and literacy through a multi-sensory approach. JCDS 2nd grade Teacher Kristin Szallay will lead this program

My Poetry Era: Taylor Swift Poetry and Music

Rising 3rd - 6th $325
presented by Julia Fila

What era are you in? Campers explore a mash-up of many camper's favorite musical and classical poetry! We will read and write a variety of styles of poems and poetic devices while exploring the music of T Swift. Activities will also include bracelet making, dance/choreography and other creative processes/products. Students will create a book of their poetry and writings over the week. This program will be led by JCDS Library Assistant, Julia Fila.

Drones

Rising 3rd - 6th $425
presented by Lyndsey Gammon

The Drones are here! In this hands-on, interactive class you will learn how to safely fly drone robots. Working in teams, you will be able to code your drone to compete in missions that will prepare you for the ultimate team challenge at the end of the week. Students will work in pairs or teams for most of the program. No experience is necesary, and drone pilots of all skill levels are welcome. This program will be led by St. Johns county 1st grade teacher, Lyndsey Gammon.
