Ever wanted to plan your own week or camp or write the end of your favorite book? This week is for you! Each cabin group will choose a theme on Monday and plan fun games and activities for the remainder of their week. Campers can explore a creative new theme for their group, or relive one of their favorite weeks from a past session or summer. Camp staff will guide each group in choosing a fun and engaging theme that is appropriate and awesome for their group.

The JCDS Summer Day camp program is an action packed week of fun activities, indoor and outdoor games, swimming, arts and crafts, and more! Campers will be divided into cabins by age and will be led by the energetic JCDS Camp Staff. Campers will also engage in special projects and games based on the weekly theme.Registration Begins March 11
Ready to take your literacy into the great outdoors? Campers will experience the fun of reading through exploring different authors, genres, and activities throughout the week. The group will read stories aloud, have discussions, make predictions, and role play through a variety of literary topics. This program is appropriate for readers of all levels, and will help your campers build or sharpen their reading skills over the summer. This camp will be led by JCDS Kindergarten Teacher Tricia Senesac.Registration Begins March 11
The Step Up camp is specifically designed for rising 1st grade students at JCDS. The camp will be action-packed with research-based curriculum such as Singapore Math and the Orton-Gillingham reading program. This is a great opportunity to brush off those summer cobwebs and give your child an overview of math and literacy through a multi-sensory approach. JCDS 1st Grade Teacher Lindsey Upchurch will lead this program.Registration Begins March 11
Does your camper love to sing, dance and act? Then come join us for the 14th annual musical theatre camp at JCDS! This year’s theme will be geography. Campers of all skill levels will work together to rehearse singing, dancing, and acting skills as they prepare for a final performance on the last day of camp. This camp will run from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. daily to allow extra time to prepare for the big performance. JCDS Specialist Virginia Dickert will lead the production along with support from JCDS Dance Manager Lexie Bristol and Episcopal School of Jacksonville’s Performing Arts Department Director Katie Black. The final showcase performance will be Friday, July 19, at 6:30 p.m.Registration Begins March 11
